For questions about your sewer, rates, or any other issues related to your sewer bill or sewer services, call the Authority at (770) 487-7993, or (678) 300-0196 after hours, on weekends or holidays. For questions about your water service, water rates, or anything related to your drinking water, contact the Fayette County Water System – your water utility provider – at (770) 461-1146 or (770) 487-3271 after hours, on weekends or holidays.

Authority residential sewer rates include a $26 base fee, plus a consumption fee of $4.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used each month, which is metered by the Fayette County Water System. For industrial and commercial, or multi-family property owners, sewer rates include the $26 base fee, plus a consumption fee of $6.15 per 1,000 gallons of metered water for the month.

The Fayette County Water System administers monthly billing services for the Authority and answers questions about the billing process.

Authority customers, who are billed by the Fayette County Water System, have several options for paying their monthly bill, including payments: online, via drop boxes throughout Fayette County, direct bank draft, by mail, or in person at the Fayette County Water System Business Office.

The Authority is a public corporation of the state, legally created by an Act of the Georgia General Assembly in 1987. The Authority has a five-member Board of Directors that oversees the organization.

If you have a problem with your sewer service, or if you suspect a sewer system irregularity, such as a sewer spill or overflow, contact the Authority at (770) 487-7993 (during normal business hours) or (678) 300-0196 (after hours, on weekends or holidays), and we will respond to your concern and dispatch someone in the field to address the incident.
